Farm Fun

Our family Fall Farm Tour of 2008 commenced this weekend. We now have our pumpkins to carve and the girls enjoyed the rides, slides, and petting farms. Since we had taken the camera on day one of the tour, I decided to leave it home today.

Big Mistake!

Today, we witnessed a P-Rex devour several pumpkins. This was truly a marvel that only a kid can enjoy. I cannot possibly adequately describe the scene as this huge fake dinosaur was "fed" large pumpkins and then crushed them within its hydraulic jaws spewing pumpkin guts in all directions. I particularly enjoyed watching the master of ceremonies grab pumpkin scraps off the ground and toss them in the air when the papier-mache beast chomped down on the pumpkin so that it would seem more messy and dramatic. And, to top it all off...at the conclusion of the demonstration, the spectators were invited to pick up the pumpkin carnage and feed it to the pig.

Brilliant!
